Our Sustainability pledge
When I started Three Acorns Studio, I committed to not only creating beautiful and inspiring art, but also to minimizing my environmental footprint. My commitment to sustainability extends to every aspect of my business, including my packaging. I believe in making choices that are kind to the Earth and resonate with our values.
Printing on demand with my in-house inkjet professional printer
Printing to order minimizes paper waste by producing items only when they are requested by customers. Unlike traditional printing methods that require large quantities to be produced in advance and stored in warehouses, printing to order allows for a more efficient and sustainable approach. This means that each item is printed individually as orders are received, reducing the need for excess inventory and eliminating the risk of items becoming obsolete or going unsold. By printing to order, I can ensure that resources are used more efficiently, leading to less paper waste and a more sustainable business model overall.
eco-friendly Professional archival Paper
After extensive testing, I selected an eco-friendly paper that closely resembles the original painting. Your artwork not only looks exceptional but also minimizes environmental impact.
Most of my art is printed on the world’s first professional Bamboo fine art inkjet archival paper made from 90% bamboo fibers. Bamboo is a rapidly renewable resource, making it a sustainable alternative to traditional paper sources.
The natural white, warm-toned bamboo paper does not contain optical brighteners, and stands out thanks to its soft, lightly textured felt structure and sensual feel. Bamboo is acid- and lignin-free and meets the most precise requirements in terms of age resistance. The unique combination of sustainable bamboo fibres, soft surface texture and impressive print quality gives the artwork outstanding expression and soul. My choice reflects my commitment to preserving not only the longevity of my artwork but also the health of our ecosystems.
Sustainable packaging
Recyclable or Compostable Packaging :
I try to use packaging materials that are either recyclable or compostable. As an artist, I understand the importance of reducing waste and strive to provide packaging solutions that can be easily integrated into sustainable waste management systems. The majority of my packaging will be crafted from recycled materials, specifically post-consumer waste, or compostable materials. By giving new life to existing materials, I aim to contribute to the circular economy and reduce the demand for virgin resources. I also encourage all our customers to recycle our packaging material.
Plant-Based, Sustainably-Sourced or Organic Materials :
I am committed to incorporating plant-based, organic or sustainably-sourced materials into my packaging whenever possible. By choosing materials that are renewable and responsibly harvested, I aim to support ecosystems and reduce our impact on the environment.
Carbon-Neutral Shipping
My decision to embrace carbon-neutral shipping reflects my company's commitment to environmental responsibility and sustainability. By choosing carbon-neutral shipping, I am actively reducing my carbon footprint and mitigating the impact of my operations on climate change. This choice aligns with my values of social responsibility. Moreover, I hope to set a precedent for sustainable business practices within the art industry and hopefully inspire other artists to follow my lead in building a more sustainable future.
Continuous Improvement
I understand that the journey towards sustainability is ongoing. I will keep searching for sustainable packaging or material whenever it’s impossible to find a sustainable option. As new, more eco-friendly materials and practices emerge, I commit to staying informed and updating our packaging choices to reflect the latest advancements in sustainable packaging.
